COGVIL

Cogvil is one of the first Colombian robots to have participated in international tournaments. It was created (2013) by a team of enthusiastic children and young people who, due to their discipline and creativity, have crossed borders, obtaining First Place in the “Rumble” Division category of Robo One Latin America in Chile 2023 and First Place Champion in the Best Performance category of Robo One Latin America in Ecuador 2024. It had recently qualified to participate in Robo One Japan 2025.
In the majestic mountains of Colombia, where clouds caress the peaks and the aroma of coffee fills the air, Cogvil was born, a robot designed to protect coffee plantations from deforestation and pollution. However, as he began his mission, Cogvil discovered that his task went beyond facing environmental threats. He understood that he had to support coffee farmers, caring for the land and preserving the coffee traditions that give life to the region. With dedication, he helped implement sustainable agricultural practices that balanced technology and nature.
One sunny morning, Cogvil decided to enjoy his favorite pastime: practicing with the crossbow that his grandfather, an ancient inventor who inspired him with stories of bravery and wisdom, had given him. While he was practicing in the field, a desperate cry interrupted the tranquility. Terrified peasants ran along the paths: invading robots had arrived to ravage the region.
Cogvil, with agility and strategy, slipped under the shadows of the coffee crops. Hidden in the bushes, he analyzed the situation and, with determination, faced the intruders. The battle was intense, but Cogvil had not only strength, but also ingenuity.
At a critical moment, when it seemed that the confrontation would not end, Cogvil had a brilliant idea. He picked up a roasted coffee bean and offered them a cup of the drink he had learned to prepare with the peasants. The invaders, intrigued by the mysterious "coffee", accepted the offer. Upon tasting it, their systems were filled with wonder: the flavor was unique, indescribable, and resonated with the essence of the land itself.
That experience transformed the invading robots. They understood the value of coffee as a symbol of life, tradition, and respect for the environment. Inspired, they decided to join forces with Cogvil and the peasants, promising to protect the mountains and the plantations together.
In this way, Cogvil achieved something extraordinary: it united farmers, technology and nature in an alliance that defended coffee and demonstrated that, with teamwork and mutual respect, it was possible to care for the environment and build a sustainable future.
